Childhood Injury Prevention Data Sources
Relevant research and data are critical to developing a successful childhood injury prevention program and in measuring its success. Data and other research can help us understand the extent of an injury problem and inform us on the development of an appropriate program plan to help address the problem.
EPICenter
A valuable resource for California Injury Prevention Professionals is the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) EPICenter website. EPICenter was created to provide easy access to the most current intentional and unintentional injury data. EPICenter is a web-based query system that provides local county and state injury morbidity (hospitalization) data and mortality (death) data. For more information, please visit California Department of Public Health Epicenter.
