Creating Safer Ways for Children to Travel in Cars, as Bicyclists, and as Pedestrians

The Moving Children Safely Conference continues a 25-year tradition of providing excellence in education and training for public health professionals. This year’s conference will promote awareness, communication, and collaboration among public health and other dedicated professionals committed to ensuring the safety and health of children. The conference will highlight:

  • Innovative ways to improve communities, traffic environments, and programs to promote safety for young pedestrians, bicyclists, and motor vehicle occupants (ages 0 to 18);
  • Tools to create safer, more walkable, and bike-friendly communities and programs;
  • Teen driver and child passenger safety; and
  • Models to synthesize and synergize efforts to prevent injuries, obesity, asthma, and violence affecting children and adolescents.
