Evaluation is an essential component of any program and should be built into every project or initiative. Evaluation is a way to measure the progress and impact of a program. It can be used to tell you if you are meeting the intended needs of your target audience. It can also give you valuable feedback that can help guide you as you make adjustments to improve a program.
Evaluations help us to...
- Monitor the program's progress and performance,
- Identify problems that prevent a program from creating change,
- Improve a program’s performance or effectiveness,
- Demonstrate a program's benefits to funding sources and community members, and
- Obtain funding to sustain a program.
