Moving Children Safely Conference Funding Assistance:
The California Kids' Plates Program is providing funding assistance for eligible organizations to attend the Moving Children Safely Conference on March 15-16, 2010, in Burlingame, CA. The Moving Children Safely Conference will highlight ways to improve traffic environments; promote safety for young pedestrians, bicyclists, and motor vehicle occupants; and provide tools to create more walkable and bike-friendly communities. Eligible organizations can submit an application up until February 5, 2010, or until all funds have been depleted.

Doris Duke Charitable Foundation: The PEW Home Visiting Research to Inform Public Policy Request for Proposal (PDF, 135KB)
Funding: This program aims to build the evidence needed for advancing effective practice in maternal, infant, and early childhood home visiting. The PEW Campaign is interested in funding one to two large-scale ($125,000-$250,000 award), two to four intermediate-scale ($50,000-$125,000 award), and six to ten small-scale (less than $50,000 award) research projects.

Allstate: Safe Teen Driving Program
Funding: The goal of the Teen Driving program is to reduce the number one killer of teens - motor vehicle crashes. The program's primary strategy is to develop and grow the Keep the Driver teen-to-teen smart driving movement using community outreach to involve key teen influencers to reinforce teen smart driving, through leadership and advocacy to advance public understanding of the issue, and public awareness to elevate teen driving as a chronic public health issue.
